About Fi Kalam

The goal of Fi Kalam is to make multimedia Arabic materials more accessible to Arabic language learners at a range of levels. We do this by creating support materials for media that was primarily created by and for Arabic speakers. We also share some of the resources we’ve found most useful over the years. Our posts focus primarily on the Levantine dialect, because that’s what we know best. Essentially, we created the resource that we wanted but couldn’t find as intermediate language learners.

Fi Kalam is owned and operated by Nora Kane and Charlotte Sheridan. We started this project in 2020 when our lives were a little slower. These days we're not able to post as often as we'd like but you can expect occasional updates to old posts and a few new posts each year.
